Hello all! I'm thinking today of all the time and effort I spend posting on my two main sites and how they're both going through significant changes. Ebay's leadership team recently was recently replaced and profound changes have taken place over there - maybe some of you know about them. Etsy will be implementing its first chief operations officer ever next month. Now folks are spreading the word about e-crater - a free site (for now), It can be difficult to keep up with all of it and properly…

We live in Colton, a very little town outside of Oregon City between Molalla and Estacada. If you blink your eyes you miss it.
We had snow here last week...it covered everything and melted off in about an hour. I am really ready for spring weather!
I am a new member and fellow Oregonian.
Your wreaths are beautiful!

I think you'll do well with a vintage shop, and if/when you do it, definitely join the EtsyVintage ning community, as well as the Vintage Street Team. They're a wonderful group of folks, very active and we all support and promote each other all the time. It'll get your shop a lot of exposure and get you off to a good start.
About combining the 2 types of wares in one shop, I personally like variety and also find that the vintage merchandise bring people in, where they find handmade items they like, and vice-versa. It does work out well. I'm also pretty thrilled with being able to combine my two loves by making things out of vintage materials--that's the best of both worlds for me :-)
But, I'm splitting into 2 shops very soon because I'm bringing in different types of handmade things and the shop is getting a bit crowded already. So this is going to be an interesting experiment to see if it helps or hurts in the long run. I think I'll be posting something about the move and what the results are here on the site, once it gets rolling.
Have a Great Day, and Thanks! :-)
