Basic FAQ

Hi folks, glad you found us!

Here is a basic FAQ, Ning is about to release more support for things like FAQ very shortly.

Welcome to considerations - the art in marketing. As of this writing, this is a very tight group of very talented folks. Glad you could join us. You can invite folks if you want, preferably friends. For now, we are trying to keep this down to mostly just a tight group of folks. I am not sure if we ever really open this up. It is up to the community.

I have something like 3 posts or so that are marked private for my friends only, listed on my page. I do not know if they are visible on the main page or not. You need to be one of my friends to see them. Invite me if I forgot to get you.

There is a weekly, "show us your latest and greatest" forum thread that is our most popular that is fun to participate in.

You can download as many photos into group photo gallery as you want. Please read the picture FAQ to see the <a href="http://considerations.ning.com/notes/Picture_Submissions">rules on photo submissions</a>. I suggest you use flickr for that. Get there by hitting photos in the navigation bar near the top of the page.

There is an image viewer here that can be found in the the badge area that works to show just your images, and can be dropped on any of your sites to show off you gallery here. It does mildly promote this site.

You can get a badge to promote this site if you want. There are like 4 choices. See the section on the right titled consideration - the art in marketing badge, and select get more badges.

You can post on your blog on your My Page, if you tell me that you have, I can add it to the main front page blog. but it does not go there automatically. And of course blogging is totally optional, but would love to see more participation.

I suggest that if you have a blog you put the URL into the section labeled RSS on the far lower left. You blog will show up here then. Edit the title name.

There is room to put links into your profile so that you can promote as many blog rings or other sites that you wish. If you want statistics, at the moment Ning, the makers of this site do not support individual statistics, but I do have access and can let you know of or give you access to them.

I highly suggest new folks read the posting on Technorati and register your blog if you are going to blog here.

I try and personally blog 3 times a week.

This is not really a self promotional site at this time, there probably are better places to put your energy for self promotion. This is a community mentoring project on the subject of art marketing. We have a strong art emphasis, but many folks would find this site interesting.

We are putting together and Etsy team, more to follow.

The unofficial demographics of the users of this community are about 20% have 3 - 5 + years of marketing or internet marketing. 20% have 1 - 3 years. And the rest are under one year.
