Technorati is a blog rating service, the higher up your blog is rated, the more likely that other folks will visit your blog. You probably have seen the technorati button a thousand times before and never knew you can click it.
My technorati badge is posted on my left hand column of my blog here, and my inde blog, in the About Me section right below the badges with my picture on them.
The badge says "Add this blog to my Technorati Favorites". If it is your first time clicking the badge it will put you on the Technorati website. I highly suggest that you claim your own blog(s) and add this button to your blog page if you are new to it.
You also can use Technorati to find popular blogs on subjects you are interested in. And you can keep track of new news through there (or you can learn about rss). This is an extremely popular service. This is a great way to help in self promoting yourself and promoting sites you like.

We've had the Technorati badge on our blog for a while now and we're only up to a 19. I also have three different trackers on our blog, and I don't recall seeing any traffic referred from Technorati.
If anyone has any secret to getting more visibility using Technorati, please share :)

in the two days I have been on technorati, we have had 30 hits from there. I think that is fantastic considering we only have 2 authority. I will go press your button :) The more authority the better.
Also we have had one member join from a referral from them. The normal amount of time folks spend here is about 13 minutes on average. Technorati referrers spend 45 mins!

the secret is to have lots of folks hit your button. Something we all can do to help each other out. And your site is fantastic and a good reference point for us all.

I was just asked this, What is technocrati.? Technocrati is a search engine for blogs just like google is for overall. And it is a referral site just like google is. But you have to claim your blog to get referred from them.
