These are two of my recent additions to my texture library. What you are seeing is the original wood casting on the left, and on the right the resulting buttons. The buttons were part of a commission request. I get to do all sorts of neat things with these textures. I have tons of ideas already. These are finished in my Dark tribal style.

These are too cool. I think a standard loop bail on the back would work for me, right in the center. I love the square ones but the rounds would be easier for me to design around

so you want the bail at the top center? How many do you think you need? I have to cast these so It will take me about a week to complete, maybe faster.

Although I'm not a jewelry maker, I find the whole process you undertake so intriguing. I'm a lover of texture. This is great work!

the original was indeed barn type of wood. Extremely aged and weathered pieces I found lying around our small grass ranch. The bottom one of them has strong saw marks across the entire piece.

The way these are made is pretty neat. Instead of burning out wax for lost wax method, we can burn out just about anything organic. So the mold from these was directly from the wood. They were twice as thick in the master, but i had to cut that down.

These still look so much better live, oh well.

Here is my newest piece, 8x12 by 1/2 on masonite. Loaded with texture and depth. Unfortunately with the scan , you don't get the full effect of the glimmering paint added to highlight the light shining from above the arched window or the bottom.

You should consider doing one of your pieces with some sort of tribal clasp from Scott.
I think the contrast of delicate and rustic would be something else.

Beautiful Albina Rose! You must be very patient to crochet metal.

Here is one of my new pieces. I have been experimenting with etching and really like the designs and texture you can achieve.

neat. I worry about the nasty chemicals, but am interested in etching for a number or reasons. I will have to try it sometime.

The chemicals aren't really that bad. I really enjoy the effects they make.

Thanks Sylvie,
I don't think I would have the patience for beadweaving either. Tried my hand at knitting and still do a little, but I sure would rather use the metal and glass.
