As you all may know (or not know), Etsy's search has been crippled lately, and aside from my own personal feelings (and those of many other users) about not letting us know this was going on, so we could hold off on wasting time & money listing and renewing, it's something that we all are hoping the new tech guy will be able to do something about.
The following article came in the 'Etsy News' mailer today, and is also in the Storque. In case you haven't seen it yet, here it is. It's nice that Chad talks in plain English and in a way that anyone can understand what's going on without having to translate 'tech-speak' :-)
The main problem is that Etsy's infrastructure has been sort of slapped together, basically with chewing gum from the beginning, and the entire system is outgrowing its hardware. Chad ordered new works and at some point soon, at least that part will be fixed. I'm sure that will make everything else easier.
