I have the following blogs as of this wrting, Considerations - Art Marketing - A communal project, with forums and regular contributors; covering the subject of marketing art.
My Indiepublic Blog - A fun site show casing my Art Jewelry and other things of interest.
It's Numinosity Beads blog and it's located in two places. One is on www.indiepublic/profile/KimberlyRogers
and the other is www.numinositybeads.com/blog
I will be discussing primarily my artistic process on indiepublic and on the numinositybeads site I may have a few more reflections on the other aspects of my life such as travel and my archaeology experience in addition to the artistic process.
Hi - my blog is at www.completefragments.com/blog. It is feeling a little unloved at the moment as my attention is on making product and working with my graphic designer on my logo. My plan for it is to share my experience of establishing a home-based, creative business as a full-time mum. But I will digress no doubt!
I just read what you posted about facebook hijacking people's content--this is very scary, and I think, extremely unethical. Granted, one should read the TOS, but at the same time, they know that the majority of users are kids who at best, barely skim over any legalese and just sign up, assuming it's run like MySpace and any number of other places that don't claim your work for their own.
Actually, the plans for one has been stewing around in my head for some time, just waiting for me to have the time to set it up and vow to dedicate myself to it on a somewhat regular basis.
I've been checking into venues and weighing the pros and cons. Ideally, I'd like one for the free-flow of ideas on process, from conception to finish, including any thoughts and musings that may come in between, and another for the more practical end of it all. I'd also like to separate jewelry work from anything else that I may come up with, for focus' sake.
"Designing Hilary" ... http://57designstudio.blogspot.com/
Mainly the discussion is centers around being a jewelry designer, and all that entails. There's a bit of the personal sprinkled in.
Our blog, Grizzly Mountain Arts is our main marketing tool. We use it as a central "hub" for potential buyers to find our items online. As we also do seasonal art and craft shows, so we use the blog to keep our customers abreast of our schedule.
Our website is mainly utilized as a gallery of sold pieces so our customers can look through them if they have decided to commission a piece. Where once our website was our main presence on the internet, our blog has become our main focus and is receiving much more daily traffic than our website.
My blog is at http://artyallsorts.blogspot.com and at the moment, I'm pretty much just writing what I feel like and showcasing some of my photography. I've made a big effort over the last couple of weeks to blog more regularly and I've delved into blogcatalog, feedburner, blogflux and followed the stumbleupon threads over at Etsy. I've also worked out rss feeds at long last so now have about 50 blogs that I watch!
